MLB / NBA / MLS Collaborations
Across Westside Love and my independent work, I’ve led and executed licensed collaborations within professional sports environments that required formal league, team, and partner approvals. These projects operated within tightly governed trademark and licensing frameworks, where brand expression, product quality, and timing were subject to external standards beyond my own.
The Westside Love x San Diego Padres collaboration included New Era fitted caps produced under MLB licensing and approval processes. I led creative direction and product development while working within MLB and New Era standards, navigating review cycles, trademark usage requirements, and production constraints to deliver products that met league expectations without diluting the Westside Love brand.

A similar approach guided the Westside Love x Sacramento Kings collaboration, which included licensed apparel approved directly through the team, as well as New Era fitted caps that required formal NBA and partner approvals. These projects reinforced the importance of disciplined brand governance, clear communication with licensing stakeholders, and patience within structured review processes to ensure compliant, on-brand outcomes.

In partnership with San Diego FC, I developed a licensed capsule collection and large-scale giveaway that required MLS contracts and approvals. The project included a towel distributed to 25,000 fans at a home match, as well as a limited collection of apparel and accessories sold in-stadium and online.
This work required close coordination across league licensing, team stakeholders, production partners, and retail channels, balancing scale, timelines, and brand integrity within a highly visible, regulated environment.
