Sunday night was the grand opening of the Us Versus Them flagship store in downtown San Diego. It’s sufficient to say that we’re stoked they chose San Diego as the destination for their flagship, and even more excited that they’re on G St, only 5 blocks from the 8th and G clique (Product Etc, 5&A Dime, Neighborhood, HDQTRS). The flagship looks to carry the staple and commemorative Us Versus Them gear, as well as goods from City Fog Surf Co. All of which is made with heart and soul.

I had the opportunity to formally meet two of the founders, James Banuelos (CEO) and Graham Nystrom (Creative Director), see Mando Islas’s political portraits, shoot the new space, and catch up with new and old friends. From our perspective, there is a host of creative businesses springing up or growing strong in San Diego. Us Versus Them certainly isn’t new to the game, so it’s rad to have more creative veterans bullhorn that San Diego is where they call home. We strongly believe the more talented and humble people planting seeds in SD the better. Welcome to G St, Us Versus Them!
