Last month I was invited to participate in a group show titled “Cross City,” held at the Voz Alta gallery in Barrio Logan. The theme of the show was to bring together emerging young artists from both sides of the San Diego (US) and Tijuana (Mexico) border region. I was happy to be invited, and planned on showing an encaustic painting I had recently began working on. Adrian Garcia from Con Design House, who curated the show, asked me if … Read More

PRDTetc™ — Brands, Gangs, Teams & Clans
A couple months back we put an exhibition together over at Double Break that showcased some of our in-house brands and products that we had in the works. Since we were previewing these pieces we kept pretty silent about the post event wrap-up on our blog. Now that we will be releasing our new line of caps next week we felt it was only appropriate to share some flics with those that were unable to attend. On display we had … Read More

Dia de los Muertos — 5&A Dime x Us Versus Them
Our good friends at 5&A Dime hosted a packed house last night for their Dia de los Muertos collaborative release with Temecula-based brand Us Versus Them. Always a good time at 5D in-store events — lots of familiar faces, great conversations, good music, and refreshing drinks (lots of people meant drinks went quick). Not to mention the collaborative tee is pretty fresh, it comes in three different colorways, and you can cop them here.
Lindbergh Gadgie
Thanks to our homie Dre Trav (aka Lindbergh Gadgie) for supplying us with these sweet photos — representing his new Lindbergh Gadgie snap-backs with our PRDTetc™ tees! Check out Trav’s Tumblr for his newest hats, tracks and photos. Shout out to the team — Ez Pennybags, Sauvi, Damani MoniBeatz McDole, Marquelus Jackson, and Thovan Music and Photography. Much love and respect!
New Sticks
New PRDTetc™ and Westside Love ™ stickers arrived yesterday, and we can’t wait to see these start popping up around town. We’re still waiting on another batch to arrive, but in the meantime scoop up a hat, tee, or one of the few Bring Back The Brown — Fort Knocks we have left and we’ll make sure to HOOK IT UP with some of the new sticks. Happy Friday, y’all!
Heath Bell is down with brown!
If you follow us on Twitter, a couple days ago we retweeted photos posted by Padres All-Star closing pitcher, Heath Bell, showing off his pair of PRDTetc™ x Knockaround — Bring Back The Brown Fort Knocks. Next day, a photo surfaced on Sign On San Diego of Heath Bell and Grammy Award-winning San Diego rock band, Switchfoot — and he’s still proudly rocking his BBTB Fort Knocks. Heath, you the man!
Baja California, Mexico
One of the coolest things about our work are the field trips we sometimes have to make for our client projects. On Wednesday, one of our current client projects required us to make a trip down south to beautiful Baja California. The goal was to collect imagery unique to Baja for a brand identity we’re developing for a Mexican seafood restaurant, set to open in Boston later this year. Needless to say, it was a pretty awesome day at work. … Read More
San Diego — Mission Hills
Sunday while Jordan was making his way back to SD from “Art In The Streets,” my wife and I hit up a little food. Whether you’re from San Diego, or just visiting, if you haven’t explored the food gems in the Mission Hills Business District you’re definitely missing out! There are a lot of must-try spots, literally within a few steps from each other. El Indio is a hot-spot amongst locals and tourists. Chips are bomb, and try the Mini … Read More

Knockaround x PRDTetc™ — Collaborative Release at 5&A Dime
Despite the tragic (“or just horseshit”) losing streak that took the Pads into the All-Star Break (together with any “very hopeful” hopes of post-season play), we’re still putting it down for the Bring Back The Brown campaign, along with our city, and we’re really excited about this one. Saturday, July 30th at 5&A Dime from 1:30pm-4:30pm. Music, drinks, and a Knockaround x PRDTetc™ product release. More details to follow…

2nd BBTB “Crowd in Brown”
This past Friday we more than doubled our group size for the 2nd Bring Back The Brown “Crowd in Brown.” We were over 110 brown lovers strong, and this time we sprinkled the Bring Back The Brown posters throughout the stands. Despite this, the Jumbo Tron crew still didn’t show us any love, but we figure they can only ignore our strong support for the team and city for so long. We won the game with a walk-off walk in … Read More
