Gangs — Nonaligned Vocabulary is a book both designed and edited by Jordan Stark over a 14 week semester. The volume serves to question the endorsed pop-media semantics of the term “gang.” The compilation of gathered articles and images put forth an expanded definition based on gang size, significance, and threat. The contents form a linguistic departure away from the urban underclass cliques of the colored, foreign or dispossessed and instead addresses the largest, most ambitious, exclusive, dogmatic and dangerous gangs in the world. ⊗
